Welcome to my website! My name is Karen, and I am passionate about travel, design, digital media, and communications.
Originally from the United States, I moved to Denmark to pursue a Master’s degree in Web Communication Design, as well as to broaden my horizons academically and professionally. To pair with my studies, I am working as a Student Assistant in Group Communications at United Shipping and Trading Company (USTC).

Supports Communication department in both internal and external relations in a collaborative team environment.
Responsible for creating content, brainstorming ideas, preparing presentations with a critical eye for visual design.
Write and edit content for internal blog articles, social media posts, and other communications copy.
Plan and execute high quality video productions through filming with a DSLR camera and editing in Adobe Premiere.

Supported the Marketing and Communications Department for all parks in the city of Chicago.
Graphic Designer of print and online marketing materials for park events, individual recreation, and website.
Collaboration and correspondence with various departments at the Park District to design materials specific to needs.
